Binance Launches Airdrop for New ZK Rollup Protocol Boundless (ZKC)
The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, Binance, is launching an airdrop for a new universal ZK Rollup protocol called Boundless (ZKC). The airdrop will be available to Binance HODLers. Boundless (ZKC) is set to be listed on Bybit on September 15, 2025, and will also be listed on Binance Alpha. Boundless (ZKC) is the 39th project on Binance HODLer Airdrops, developed by the team behind RISC Zero. It is a ZK protocol that enhances blockchain scalability and verifiable compute. As a decentralized marketplace, Boundless allows any blockchain or application to access off-chain ZK proofs for heavy computations, such as rollup upgrades, DeFi risk assessments, and privacy-preserving transactions, without requiring major architectural changes. RISC Zeros zkVM Boundless transforms computational power into a financial asset, enabling miners (or provers) to bid on tasks using CPUs or GPUs. Miners stake ZKC tokens as collateral for task completion and earn rewards through the Proof of Verifiable Work (PoVW) mechanism, which prioritizes useful computations over wasteful hashing. This system ensures efficiency and penalizes dishonest actors to maintain network security. The ZKC token is used for staking, governance, and emissions, with Season 1 airdrops starting on August 25.
