Changan and CATL Launch Global Sodium-Ion Battery Strategy in Yakeshi

On February 5, Changan Automobile, in collaboration with CATL, hosted an event in Yakeshi to launch Changan's global sodium-ion battery strategy. The first mass-produced passenger car using sodium-ion batteries was unveiled. Multiple Changan brands, including Avatr, Shenlan, Qiyuan, and Y引力, will be equipped with CATL's new sodium-ion batteries. According to CATL, these batteries have a maximum energy density of 175Wh/kg, offering a pure electric range up to 500-600km and an extended range for hybrid vehicles up to 300-400km.
