At the 2025 World Intelligent Industry Expo, Zhu Huaron, the Party Secretary and Chairman of China Changan Automobile Group Co., Ltd., stated that the automotive industry is accelerating its integration with AI. By 2030, it is expected that L2-level assisted driving will become standard in domestic passenger vehicles, and the coverage of L3-level and above assisted driving will exceed 10%. This year, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China are projected to reach 16 million units, with a penetration rate exceeding 50%. By 2030, 80% of the Chinese market is anticipated to be new energy vehicles, and the global market penetration of new energy vehicles is expected to reach 40%. Zhu Huaron also noted that the optimal window for Chinese auto brands to expand overseas may only last two to three years. He recommended strengthening industry self-discipline, operating legally and compliantly, and using AI and other technological innovations to reduce costs, improve product quality, and enhance service experiences, thereby fostering a healthy industrial ecosystem.
