A shooting incident occurred near Lincoln Middle School at 16th and Gunderson in Berwyn, Illinois. The event, described as a murder-suicide, took place around 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Surveillance footage captured the sound of multiple gunshots. When police arrived, they observed a male suspect in a vehicle firing a rifle into another vehicle. The gunman also fired at the police officers, who took cover without returning fire. Upon approaching the suspect's vehicle, police found the gunman dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, along with two other deceased individuals inside the vehicle. The incident led to a lockdown at the nearby middle school where some students and staff were still present.
