2026-03-12 14:57

Honda is reassessing its electric vehicle (EV) strategy, which is expected to result in a spending of up to 2.5 trillion yen. The company has decided to cancel the planned launch of three electric models in North America. Honda anticipates a loss of 270 billion to 570 billion yen for the fiscal year ending in March. This setback places Honda among other global automakers that have suffered significant financial losses due to challenges in transitioning to electric vehicles. For instance, Stellantis has reported losses exceeding 2.2 billion euros, and Ford has incurred a loss of 19.5 billion dollars.
