The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Council convened a meeting in Vienna, Austria, on the 8th. Director General Rafael Grossi presented the latest developments in nuclear safety and safeguards, with a focus on the Iranian nuclear issue. He noted that despite new laws in Iran that restrict cooperation with the IAEA, the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and its safeguards agreement remain in effect for Iran.
