Iranian Revolutionary Guard Closes Strait of Hormuz, Threatens Attacks
2026-03-03 05:56

Ebrahim Jabari, an advisor to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, announced that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed. He warned that any ships attempting to pass through will be fired upon and threatened attacks on oil pipelines and shipping lines. This action could obstruct one-fifth of global oil transport, potentially causing oil prices to rise sharply to $200. This is the clearest warning from Iran since Saturday.
