The Israeli Foreign Minister, in a call with the French Foreign Minister, emphasized that actions by Iran and the Houthi group in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea constitute 'maritime terrorism' and threaten global navigation freedom and the economy. He called for an international response to these actions. The Israeli Foreign Minister also noted that since March 2, Israel has been subjected to over 2000 attacks from Lebanon, which he attributed to Hezbollah, supported by Iran. He urged the Lebanese government to take comprehensive action against Hezbollah's military, financial, social, and economic networks to advance the peace process in the region. The minister reiterated that Israel will firmly defend itself.
