Meta Expands Ad Options for Reels and Threads, Predicted to Join $3 Trillion Market Cap Club
2025-08-19 01:03

Meta, formerly Facebook, is expanding its ad options on Reels and Threads. The company is allowing advertisers to place promotions next to trending content in categories such as animals, pets, beauty, fashion, cars, and sports. Initial tests have shown a 20% boost in unaided awareness. These ad options are now available to all advertisers with a Meta sales rep, and more categories will be added next year. Meta is also introducing new ad formats for Threads, including carousel and expanded image ads, 4:5 rendering for single image and video ads, and catalog ads. Brands without a Threads account can extend their Instagram or Facebook campaigns to Threads using their existing accounts. Additionally, Meta has introduced 'value rules' for ad targeting, allowing brands to prioritize their most valued audiences through AI-powered targeting. Meta is predicted to join the $3 trillion market cap club by 2029, with a stock price target of $900.
