NASA is adjusting its lunar mission plan, reducing the role of Boeing's Space Launch System (SLS). Instead, SpaceX's Starship rocket will be used to dock with the Orion spacecraft in Earth orbit and then propel it to lunar orbit and on to the moon. This change replaces the original plan where the SLS was to directly send the Orion to lunar orbit.
