PlayStation Portal Now Supports Cloud Streaming for PS5 Games
Starting November 5 at 6pm PT (November 6 at 2am GMT), PlayStation Plus Premium members can stream PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog via the PlayStation Portal, without needing a PS5 console or Remote Play. The service supports thousands of PS5 titles, including popular games like 'Astro Bot,' 'Borderlands 4,' 'Final Fantasy VII Rebirth,' 'Fortnite,' 'Ghost of Yōtei,' 'Grand Theft Auto V,' and 'Resident Evil 4.' Additionally, hundreds of games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog, such as 'Cyberpunk 2077,' 'God of War Ragnarök,' 'Hogwarts Legacy,' 'Sword of the Sea,' and 'The Last of Us Part II Remastered,' are also available. This update introduces a refreshed home screen with three tabs: Remote Play, Cloud Streaming, and Search, along with new features to enhance the gaming experience. Cloud Streaming allows direct access to games from the cloud, enabling new play styles such as multiplayer on a single PS5 under different accounts or simultaneous gaming and media consumption. It also facilitates playing PS5 games remotely with a high-speed internet connection, even when away from the console.
