Donald Trump's Video Message on Charlie Kirk's Death Suspected to be AI-Generated
A 4-minute video message from Donald Trump expressing grief over the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk is being criticized online for appearing to be AI-generated. The video, which was purportedly shot in the Oval Office, shows Trump emphasizing his close friendship with Kirk and describing his death as a 'dark moment for America.' Netizens and a Grok visual analysis have pointed out several issues, including unnatural lip sync, overly saturated colors, unnatural color gradients, artifacts, exaggerated mouth movements, facial distortions, and frozen expressions. The analysis also noted a halo effect around Trump's hair, common in AI renders, and a sudden jump at the 18th second. Subtitle timing gaps further suggest manipulation. Kirk, known for mobilizing young Republican voters, was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University. No arrests have been made in the search for the gunman.
