Three police officers were killed and two others critically injured in a shooting that occurred while they were serving a court order in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania. The incident took place on Haar Road, a rural area known for its farms and barns, about 115 miles west of Philadelphia. The shooting suspect was fatally shot by police. The shooting occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Emergency services, including a medevac helicopter, fire engines, police cars, and ambulances, responded to the scene. York County Coroner Pamela Gay confirmed her office's response, and the FBI and ATF are supporting local officials. Governor Josh Shapiro and US Attorney General Pam Bondi expressed grief and condemned the violence against law enforcement.
