UK Imposes Sanctions on 175 Entities in '2Rivers' Network
2026-02-24 17:49

The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on 175 entities within the '2Rivers' network, including the Russian oil transport company, which is responsible for over 80% of Russia's oil exports. The UK's Foreign Secretary stated that this is the largest set of sanctions since the early stages of the conflict, aimed at cutting off the financial, military, and revenue sources supporting Russia's aggression. Despite international sanctions, the '2Rivers' network continues to transport large volumes of Russian crude oil. This network, previously known as 'Coral', rapidly expanded before its operations were weakened by EU and UK sanctions in 2024. Relevant individuals have denied any association with the Russian oil company or specific traders and claim they have not been involved in any oil-related business since late 2022.
