Ukraine Expresses Willingness for Direct Talks with Russia at Leadership Level
On August 29, local time, Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, stated that he and Ukraine's First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kyslytsya, met with U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs, Whitkoff, in New York. Yermak announced that Ukraine is willing to engage in direct dialogue with Russia at the leadership level. He emphasized on social media that it is important to promote genuine diplomacy and implement all agreements reached by U.S. and Ukrainian leaders on August 18.
