Woman Found Dead on Boat Docked at Montauk Yacht Club Identified as Martha Nolan OSlattara
On Tuesday, a woman was found dead on a boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club, located off Star Island Road in Montauk, New York. Suffolk County police responded to a 911 call that came in around 4 a.m., with the discovery first reported to East Hampton Town police shortly after midnight. The woman was identified as Martha Nolan OSlattara, 33, of Manhattan.
Good Samaritans discovered Ms. OSlattara, attempted to perform CPR, but first responders ultimately pronounced her dead at the scene. According to police statements, the cause and manner of her death remain unclear; a preliminary investigation listed the cause of death as "inconclusive." An autopsy is to be conducted by the county medical examiner to determine further details.
Four other individuals at the scene were assessed by responders from the Montauk Fire Department but declined further treatment. Suffolk County's homicide detective squad has requested that anyone with information contact them at 631-852-6392. Police have released no additional details regarding the circumstances of Ms. OSlattara's death. The investigation is ongoing.
