According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi will hold a joint call on Friday with the foreign ministers of France, the United Kingdom, and Germany to discuss nuclear negotiations and sanctions. The three European countries have threatened to initiate United Nations sanctions against Iran under the "snapback" mechanism if Iran does not return to the negotiation table. These countries and the United States believe that Iran is using its nuclear program to develop weapons, which Iran denies.
